NEET Tripura State Quota 2021: Seats, participating Colleges, Cutoff, Counseling, and Merit List

The admission process of Tripura will be conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tripura. NEET 2021 Seat Matrix is the number of seats available in various Private and Government Medical and Dental Colleges of the state. State Eligibility Criteria :

• A candidate should be a registered citizen of Tripura.
• The student must be above 17 years of age as per December 31, 2021. There is no upper limit, however, a case in court is ongoing regarding capping the upper limit.
• The applicant must have studied from class 6 to 10 in the state of Tripura.
• Candidates who are the children of either All India Service officers born in Tripura cadre or employees of Tripura state government posted out of the state will be eligible for Tripura MBBS/BDS 2021 admission.
• Aspirants who are appearing in Class 12 examination from an institute/school/college in the state and are not a domicile of Tripura but their parents are working in the section of Tripura Government or Central Government for a period of three years can also apply.
• Students who are not permanent residents of Tripura but children of ex-servicemen/defense personnel staying in Tripura for five years are also allowed to register for MBBS and BDS admissions.
• The candidate must have passed +2 Sc. and in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually and must have secured a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry & Biology at +2 Sc. level for General Candidate (GE), 40% for SC/ST candidates and 45% for benchmark disability candidates.
• The minimum qualifying Percentile for different category of candidates are as follows:

a. General (GE) - 50th percentile

b. Physically Challenged (PC-GE) - 45th percentile

c. ST/SC - 40th percentile

d. Physically challenged (SC/ST) - 40th percentile

Counseling and Admission Process of Tripura NEET :

Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tripura is the authority that will be conducting the Counselling and Admission process of Tripura.

The counseling will be conducted in offline mode. The candidates will get the option to choose courses and colleges in the application form which will be submitted during the counseling of Tripura. The Admission in various institutes through each quota will be done on the basis of the Merit List prepared.

Counseling Committee reserves the right to withdraw the name of the candidate from the merit list of state, if any, placed inadvertently who is not eligible to be placed in the state merit list due to any reason.

Process of counseling:

Registration: All the merit listed candidates who wish to participate in the counseling procedure for admission must register in due time.

Document Verification: The candidate has to attend the document verification session and get his/her application authenticated. In case of emergency, any authorized person on behalf of the candidate can attend on the production of the authorization letter of the candidate. The candidate has to submit self-attested copies of documents along with Originals.

Choice Locking: The candidate has to submit his/her choice of course and college in order of preference as per schedule.

Seat Allotment: College and course will be allotted on merit basis. The candidate has to deposit the original College Leaving Certificate / School Leaving Certificate as the case may be and will be issued a provisional admission letter.

Reporting to the Allotted College: The candidate must report before the authority of the institution allotted within the stipulated date as notified and submit a copy of the provisional admission letter for completion of the admission process at the institutional level.

Candidates must carry the allotment letter along with other required documents while reporting to the allotted college.
