Q. 11.  You are repeating the Hershey-Chase experiment and are provided with two isotopes P32 and N15 (in place of S35 in the original experiment). How does you expect your results to be different?

Use of N15 will be inappropriate because the method of detection of P32 and N15 different (P32 being a radioactive isotope while N15 is non-radioactive but is the heavier isotope of nitrogen).
Even if N15 was radioactive then its presence would have been detected, both inside the cell (N15 incorporated as a nitrogenous base in DNA) as well as  in the supernatant, because N15 would also get incorporated in amino group of amino acids in proteins. Hence, the use of N15 would not give any conclusive results.
