The alternating current in a circuit is described by the graph shown in the figure. Show the RMS current in this graph.

Hint: We can find the RMS value of the current from the graph.

Step 1:

I_{rms} = rms current

= \sqrt{\frac{1^{2} + 2^{2}}{2}} = \sqrt{\frac{5}{2}} = 1.58 A \approx 1.6 A
