Does the human eye partially lose its ability of accommodation when it undergoes short-sightedness (myopia) or long-sightedness (hypermetropia)? If not, what might cause these defects of vision?

Step: Find the cause for myopia or hypermetropia.
A person may have the normal ability of accommodation even if he is suffering from myopia or hypermetropia. Myopia or hypermetropia is caused by the change in the size of the eyeball. A person loses their ability of power of accommodation when he is suffering from presbyopia.
