in ncert page no 111 said exoskeleton has hardened plates called sclerites (tergites dorsally and sternites ventrally )that are joined together by thin and flexible articular membrane ( authrodial membrane ).is it said tergites and sternites join to each other by athrodial membrane. please explain

The arthrodial membrane which is thin, flexible and articular connects the dorsal tergites and the ventral sternites in cockroaches.
