Melatonin is a hormone that regulates sleep-wake cycles. This hormone is secreted by the pineal gland. It is thought to be concerned with regulating the reproductive cycle. Its secretion is regulated by a rhythm-generating system located in the suprachiasmatic nucleus of the hypothalamus, which is in turn regulated by light.
The melanocyte-stimulating hormones, known collectively as MSH is also known as melanotropins or intermedins. MSH stimulates the production and release of melanin (skin pigment) by melanocytes in skin and hair. Acting in the hypothalamus, MSH suppresses appetite. MSH secreted in the hypothalamus also contributes to sexual arousal. A direct consequence of high levels of melanocyte-stimulating hormone is increased production of melanin.

Then are both MSH and MELATONIN same ?
