Malpighian body (also called kidney corpuscle, or Malpighian corpuscle)is the structure at the beginning of a vertebrate nephron, consisting of a glomerulus and its surrounding Bowman's capsule. It is the part of a nephron in the kidney that consists of its cup-shaped end together with the glomerulus that it encloses. It is the location of Ultrafiltration.
The Malpighian tubule system is a type of excretory and osmoregulatory system found in some insects, myriapods, arachnids, and tardigrades. The system consists of branching tubules extending from the alimentary canal that absorbs solutes, water, and wastes from the surrounding hemolymph.
